The "Big Dogs": Mrs. Stedman and Mrs. Whichello




Welcome to the
D.O.G. Class!
Where Kindergarteners Depend On God!

"Trust in the Lord with all of your heart.  Never rely on what you think you know.  Remember the Lord in everything you do, and He will show you the right way."  Proverbs 3: 5-6

Our yearlong theme in Mrs. Stedman's kindergarten class is Depend On God, or D.O.G for short.  In kindergarten we learn so many new things about God.  We will have weekly and monthly Bible verses that we memorize and hide in our hearts.  In memorizing God's Word, we will know that God wants us to depend on Him to make good choices in all that we do and say. 

Being in the D.O.G. Class is a lot of fun!  Every day we will have a new "Top Dog" in class, who will be our classroom helper for the day.  The "Top Dog" gets to assist Mrs. Stedman with all of the calendar and classroom activities, as well as being the line leader for the day.  We also have a "Hot Dog" each week.  The "Hot Dog" is our student of the the week and gets to bring a different item for show and tell each day.  

In kindergarten we get to practice our reading, writing, and math skills.  Along the way we will study many fun themes such as pumpkins, community helpers, butterflies, and of course dogs!  To help us learn more about these topics we will go on many exciting field trips to the pumpkin patch, fire station, and much more!
