About the Teacher
Hello, my name is Vince Scocozza. I am a master in the art of Kung-Fu San Soo. For the past 38 years I have been teaching students of all ages on how best to protect themselves in emergency situations. In Southern California I owned and operated a self defense school for approximately 25 years. My wife and I moved to Chico in January 2000 and God quickly opened doors for me to continue teaching. I am blessed and privileged to be teaching an elective class and an after-school program at CCS.
About the After-School Program This program is for children who desire to learn the art of self defense. Classes are fun and educational, guided only on Christian principles. No meditation or mysticism is taught in these classes. Self-control, self-discipline as well as respect for teachers, parents and others are major themes of the class. Students will be encouraged to make good and responsible decisions all the time. In order to give your child the best environment to focus and learn, spectators will not be allowed in class except on promotion day, which is the last day of every session. Kung-Fu uniforms will be made available at a cost of $25. I recommend uniforms because we will be doing activities that require proper attire. Students will also have an opportunity to test and advance in rank, earning different color belts and degrees.
